📢 COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENT — DOWNTOWN FALL FESTIVAL CANCELED

To our Texarkana community and surrounding areas,
After closely monitoring the weather and receiving updates from meteorologists, it has been determined that strong storms and heavy rain are expected this Saturday. Because of the uncertainty and severity of the forecast, we must make the difficult decision to cancel the 2025 Downtown Fall Festival.
​
This was not an easy call. However, protecting our vendors, their equipment, their inventory, and the safety of our community comes first.
​
For many vendors, rain and storms can:

Soak and destroy handmade goods, baked items, and merchandise

Damage electrical equipment, machines, tents, and displays

Create unsafe setup conditions with wind, wet surfaces, and lightning
-
Cause financial loss that small businesses may not recover from
We value our vendors and the hard work, time, and money they invest to be part of events like this — and we cannot risk their safety or their product.​
We want to thank everyone who showed interest, supported, registered, and helped bring this festival together. The response from the city was amazing, and we truly appreciate the excitement for this event.

Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans this year.
Future events are already in motion, and we look forward to seeing the community come back out again soon. Thank you again for your understanding, patience, and continued support of local events in Texarkana.
